Creative announces 3rd gen Vado HD pocket camcorder (Geek.com)
Just in time for the holiday season Creative has announced an updated version of its pocket camcorder called the Vado HD . Some of the changes to the third generation handheld device are welcome where as others don’t make much sense. Taking a leaf out of Kodak’s book the Vado HD now has support for an external stereo microphone, there are improvements to the Vado’s performance in low light conditions, and a motion detection mode means it can double as a security camera. Creative has also added a headphone socket for private sound playback and the Vado HD can now capture still photos. The surprise comes from a reduction in storage. Previous Vado HD models had 8GB on-board, but the new model only has 4GB.
