HD Radio comes to the iPhone, iPod Touch (Geek.com)

If you are a fan of HD radio and own an iPhone or iPod Touch, chances you have been waiting patiently for your chance to access digital over-the-air tunes on your Apple mobile device. Well, the good news is, there is now an option for that thanks in part to a new free app. The bad news is, it requires more than just a special app to access HD radio, which unfortunately, isn’t free. iBiquity Digital, which is the company on the forefront of HD Radio tech, has released a new HD Radio option for the iPhone and the iPod Touch called the Gigaware HD Radio Receiver. This new accessory plugs into the iPhone/iPod Touch and is controlled by the in-line remote or by use of a free downloadable app that you can get from the App Store
